Weekly Cybersecurity Report | Week 2, 2025<\/h2>\n

1 \u2013 The United Nations Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) reports that information on approximately 42,000 records was stolen.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The information was posted on a forum by an attacker using the name Natohub (attached photo), with ICAO later confirming that the information was stolen from the organization\u2019s recruitment systems.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 The American football team Green Bay Packers reports that the team\u2019s online store was hacked by an attacker who stole 8,500 customer credit card numbers.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A statement from the National Football League (NFL) stated that all affected customers had been updated and that the malicious code that stole the card numbers had been on the site for between a week and a half and a month.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 Gravy analytics was hacked by an attacker who stole 10TB of information including user locations collected from other services and applications.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gravy Analytics sells user location information to various clients, including the US government.<\/p>\n

The attacker\u2019s post indicates that the stolen database included user locations collected from hundreds of different apps, including Candy Crush, Tinder, and more<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 PowerSchool, a company that provides various technology systems to schools, reports that they are suffering from a cyber-attack.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The company reported that attackers managed to penetrate the company\u2019s systems and steal sensitive information from customers (schools), including, among other things, sensitive information from teachers and students.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company provides services to approximately 18,000 customers around the world and more than 60 million students.<\/p>\n

At this point, no attack group has claimed responsibility<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 Update \u2013 Casio reports that following the ransomware attack that occurred on October 24, information on approximately 8,500 people was leaked, most of them company employees and suppliers.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Underground group claimed responsibility for the attack at the time.<\/p>\n

Reminds us that this is not the first time in which information from Casio was leaked\/stolen.<\/p>\n

6 \u2013 The Maine Public Schools network, USA, reports that they were forced to disable their computer network due to a cyber-attack.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to the report, the attack was detected at the end of the last week of 2024 and the computer team was able to restore the systems to full functionality in a short time.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Rutherford School District also reports that they identified an unauthorized person within the computer network and that sensitive information of some students was stolen<\/p>\n

7 \u2013 Japan\u2019s largest mobile operator, \u201cNTT Docomo\u201d, announced that it had suffered a cyber-attack that disrupted certain services.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Tokyo-based company said in a statement that a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack breached the company\u2019s system, flooding the network with unwanted traffic from multiple sources and making some services unavailable.<\/p>\n

Users were unable to access NTT Docomo\u2019s news website, video platform, payment service and other services provided by the company.<\/p>\n
